Application

Use the leave-in conditioner as a moisturizing, detangling, and defining styling base after washing.

Step 1: First, make sure your hair is still thoroughly wet. If it's a little dry, spray it with water again using a spray bottle. Then rub the product between your palms and distribute it throughout your wet hair.

Step 2: Now use a curling brush to distribute the product evenly throughout your hair and to thoroughly detangle the curls/waves.

Step 3: Now define your hair by scrunching it or styling it with a brush.

Step 4: The next step is to secure the definition with a curl gel. For ideal results, choose our Volume & Hold Scrunching Gel or our Mega Definition Strong Hold Gel. For extra strong hold, we recommend layering both gels together.

Step 5: Let your hair air dry or diffuse it. Make sure to twist your head in all directions while drying to increase volume.

Step 6: When the hair is completely dry, scrunch it again to break the gel cast, which will make your hair super soft and bouncy.

Application

The curl gel is applied directly after the leave-in conditioner to fix the definition and give the hair hold for days.

Step 1: First, make sure your hair is still thoroughly wet. If it's a little dry, spray your hair again with water using a spray bottle.

Optional Step 2: If your hair needs extra hold, we recommend layering two gels one after the other. At Curl Bites, we call this the 2-Step Hold System, which allows you to achieve maximum definition and maximum hold. To do this, apply the Volume & Hold Scrunching Gel first, which provides medium hold and great volume.

Step 3: Apply Mega Definition Strong Hold Gel, which provides strong hold and extra definition. Rub the product between your palms and distribute it throughout wet hair. Gently but firmly scrunch your hair in upward motions to help the curls pop and form their pattern. Make sure you've used enough product.

Step 4: Now diffuse your hair with a hairdryer on a medium-high setting and medium heat. Make sure to rotate your head in all directions while drying to increase volume.

Step 5: Once the hair is completely dry, scrunch it again to break the gel cast and make your hair super soft and smooth.

What is a gel cast anyway?
Hold-giving ingredients leave a clear film on dry hair. In the curl world, we call this "gelcast." This hard layer surrounds the individual strands of hair, making the hair feel frozen and/or look "wet." This is a very good sign of great hold and definition. We simply scrunch this gelcast out of the hair to create the defined, soft, bouncy curls and waves we desire.

Application
